  12. I hope you don’t mind me asking, but is it expensive to insure your two whippets? I’m only asking because a shelter near me has a pair of whippet sisters who are looking for a home and can’t be separated – I’d love to adopt them but not certain I can afford the insurance. ❤ xxx

    1. Hi Annabelle, those whippets sound lovely and it will be great to offer them a home together! When we adopted Eivor and Pearl we were given one month’s free insurance with PetPlan with an option to continue, which we did. A percentage of our premium goes to the charity we adopted them from, which is an extra bonus. They are not the cheapest and it will be good to shop around. Many insurers offer a multi-pet discount. If insurance is an issue you can check out the help on offer by the PDSA and talk to the charity you’re adopting from. Many charities are happy to rehome pets with people who get their veterinary care from the PDSA. Fingers crossed it will be possible for you to offer these lovely sisters a home 💜🙏 xxx
