When I see driftwood washed up on a beach it always makes me wonder where it came from. Perhaps Eivor and Pearl are wondering too…. 🤗xxx

Thank you Cathy, we often wonder too. Eivor came zooming across to sniff the tree and then looked at the forest behind the dunes. It looked as if it hadn’t been in the sea for long and the rootball was fairly intact. It’s possible it came from that forest and floated out to sea via the burn. Eivor seemed to know! 😉🐾💖🐾 xxx

I always wonder about these things–where did the driftwood/sea-glass/shell come from? What had it ‘seen’? What journeys did it take? 🙂

Thank you dear Na’ama, it would be so lovely if the tree could tell us in a way that we can understand. Eivor seemed to pick up plenty of information 😉💖🐕 xxx

The combination of image and naked reality of the haiku express fleeting autumn so well, Xenia. 🙂 xxx
