I haven’t stopped by for awhile,
But then I heard your heart.
Singing to a golden silent sky,
Before it left to introduce the dark.
The night, just as the dusk fades,
Will fill your heart yet once again
With the music of unseen waves.
Take care,
Mick ☮

The feelings of ones heart
Not always easy to impart
Yet, if we all, did but try
Beneath a silent golden sky
Our hearts singing to its tune
In anticipation of a golden moon
A satellite that oft inspires
Birds to sing in huge choirs
Starlings in their thousands fly
In murmurations that fill the sky
Its not their voices we hear sing
No, its every beat, of every wing
True, it breaks the golden silence
Their hearts singing in compliance
To a golden sky and its, shh, silence.
Take care,
Mick ☮

We had a thick frost this morning and the sun is sparkling on it – the boats are glistening in the moorings but I don’t think I’ll get many pictures as I’ve spent all morning writing! maybe tomorrow… Have a great day xx

I can’t get into comments to retrieve ones that have been trashed by accident. I was replying to a comment you made and something happened to trash it! In the past, I could go to Comments and restore it but now I can’t because the layout of WordPress seems to have changed in the past few days. I just wanted you to know in case you thought I had ignored one of your comments. xxx

Thank you so much for letting me know Kim. I had left a comment to say how much I loved your beautiful tanka, especially your ‘symphony of the senses’ 💖 I noticed the lay-out on wp has changed again and I have to go via /wp-admin to check the folders.

There have been some wonderful sunset skies lately – that’s one good thing about winter!
Don’t sighthounds make beautiful silhouettes?
