dVerse Poetics: Sounds of Silence

When I saw the prompt at dVerse I immediately had to think of the adaptation by American band ‘Disturbed’ of the classic Simon & Garfunkel song ‘The Sound of Silence’.  Below is a video clip of their version, which inspired the tanka above. Hope you enjoy!

  1. What a great cover of “Sounds of Silence!” I had never heard of Disturbed, and it’s great to discover a new band. Also, beautiful photos, as always.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words Cathy, so glad you enjoy the song too! The weather is a lot more pleasant with temperatures around 21C which makes for a happy Eivor and Pearl. Hope the rains have passed where you are and much love to you and Finn :o) xxx

      1. Thank you, Xenia. I have seek help for 20 years. Some new medical discovery is developing instead of referring all cases to hearing loss. I learn to live with it all these years. ❤ xox

  2. Fantastic (and in spite of myself, I love this rendition of “The Sound of Silence” — a teen showed it to me last year, and I think it is fabulous). Fun play on words in your post! 🙂 Well done!
