this summer blessed with sun we walked ten miles and talked of shorelines and geology beyond amazed what has become our tidal land, plucked from desert, sea and glacier we’re grateful time has brought us near our gentle surf and all that glitters here
The opposite shore is wrapped in morning mist, the snow-capped peaks invisible. Driftwood lies scattered on the sands. Here and there, a trunk rests upright. We greet red noses, wind-swept faces. Our eyes begin to water from the icy breeze.

Today is Thanksgiving’s Day in the US and we want to take this opportunity to say a very big thank you to all our blogging friends for their love and support, our friends who work as volunteers in the shelters and everyone who helps to make this world a better place.
If any of you want to join Eivor and Pearl in their dance, here are Mumford & Sons performing their song ‘Guiding Light’:
With love from Eivor, Pearl and Xenia xxx
