Special Features

We are humbled and delighted that the following poems have been featured in a Haiku Calendar, the World Haiku Series 2019 (with Japanese translations), a Japanese Television Programme on Haiku, a Poetry Video Journal and a special Taiga Video. Some of my images appear in these features too.

Haiku Calendar

Mount Fuji appears (in Dutch) in the Haiku-kantelkalender 2021. The calendar features fifty-two haiku by poets from Belgium and The Netherlands and is available from Haiku-centrum Vlaanderen (9 Euro per calendar plus postage). A very big thank you to Ferre Denis and the team for including my poem and putting this beautiful calendar together.

It is a great honour and pleasure to be one of the featured Haiku Poets in the World Haiku Series 2019, hosted and facilitated by the Akita International Haiku Network. A big thank you to Mr Hidenori Hiruta , who translated my poems into Japanese.

Haiku Masters

We are deeply honoured, humbled and delighted that Winter Mist and one of the images from the post featured as a Photo Haiku on NHK World Japan’s Haiku Masters in Tokyo Part 1, broadcast on 4th March 2019 from Tokyo. We are very grateful to presenters Kit Pancoast Nagamura , Kazuko Nishimura and Dan Mitsu for their thoughtful and entertaining interpretation of this photo haiku.

Frameless Sky Issue 13 Contributor Portraits

I am humbled and delighted to be the Featured Artist in Frameless Sky Issue 13, a poetry video journal featuring forty of my nature photographs, a reading by Hemapriya Chellappan, poems by seventy-six poets from eighteen different countries and music by Sascha Ende. A very big thank you to Christine L Villa and Shloka Shankar for featuring my images and to all the contributors who helped putting this beautiful edition together. Dreamcatcher was first published in Frameless Sky Issue 12, a poetry video journal featuring artwork by Hemapriya Chellappan, music by Corine Timmer and poems from more than fifty poets from all corners of the world. Taiga Video

In April 2020 we were honoured and delighted to have Zen Meditation featured as a taiga (a haiga with a tanka) as part of the Tanka Society of America’s 20th Anniversary celebrations. Twenty-one taiga were featured in total, created by tanka poets from around the world. Christine L Villa brought them all together in this beautiful video:
