Although it’s still windy today, the worst of Storm Gareth has now passed. Thank you for all your good wishes yesterday and we hope you’ve kept warm and dry!

Hugh from Hugh’s News & Views has started his Christmas Appeal in aid of Dogs Trust and will donate £1 to The Dogs Trust for every link that is left under his Christmas tree until he reaches a target of 200 links. If you have published a book, you can leave a link to your Author Pages on Amazon and Goodreads too. Feel free to hop across and meet some other great bloggers!

For this year’s Christmas charity appeal, I’m asking you again to help me raise some money for The Dogs Trust.

The Dogs Trust, formerly known as the National Canine Defence League, is an animal welfare charity and humane society in the United Kingdom which specialises in the well-being of dogs. Click here to go to their website.

Want to get involved? Here’s what you need to do.

Haibun: Writing The Stones

The shelter was a grey place where seasons barely changed. The sunlight came from loving people who found hearts to give us homes. We turned towards their light and that is what sustained us. We see this light today in others too, in every butterfly and every flower. It is this light that warms our faces in the wind. It is reflected in the wisdom of the stones. It is this light that binds the pack we walk with. We dip our pen in gratitude and love. We write to share the light that saved us.
