The sun warms our backs as we walk along a narrow trail between dandelion clocks and flowers. Rhododendron and lilac are in bloom and their scent seems extra sweet this morning. We feel at one with the wood, the bog lands and the meadow as if we have always been part of earth’s garden.

  3. Heavenly images. Eivor looks so at ease among the flowers and grass and trees. I’d never heard the term “dandelion clocks” before–what a unique way to describe this stage of the flower. And the haiku…it’s classic Xenia poetry–profoundly beautiful and deep in its simplicity, and timeless in its imagery. My day has become a little brighter. Thanks, Xenia. 🙂

  7. Oh, my! So very, very sorry. I know from sad experience how hard it is to lose a dog buddy. But what a splendid life he had with you. All that running and sniffing. A dog couldn’t ask for anything better.

  8. I am so sorry to see that Eivor has gone! It is a heartbreaker I know. I have had to say good bye to horses and dogs and it never gets easier. May he gambol about in the forests of the next world as he did with you here .
