Tanka: A Siskin’s Song

a blue and white whippet walking along a forest trail

woodland pond
all day its darkness
holds the sun
in her light a siskin’s song
flits above the treetops

    1. Thank you kindly dear Ruth, you’ll need to be a very hardy soul to swim here at the height of the midge season! Glad to hear you had a good swim in the river and that it’s more peaceful where you are now 💙

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words dear Tina, I’m not sure whether you can see siskin where you are. It’s a small Eurasian bird from the finch family and has a lovely light song 💚🎶 xxx
