Puente Poetry: Waterfall

Assynt

a blue and white whippet in a purple harness in a rocky gorge

scrambling through the gorge
we follow the stream and sound
of falling water, famed
in myth and legend

~ we feel a presence ~

stretching to eavesdrop
on voices that greet us
rising from the rocks with
their smiling, fleeting faces
