Cairngorms National Park

a black whippet following a blue and white whippet down a hilly forest trail

a click unlocks the gate
how many hands have turned
the key, we wonder and
marvel at the interplay of

~ shades and shadows ~

between trees and grasses
where woodland anemone
flourishes longer in the darker
places filled with rain and dew

Sometimes I think about the eyes that have seen something that I love to look at and wonder what they see, or who has lived in my house before me, beginning in 1928 and I wish my house could tell me. Everything just seems to be the interplay of light on shapes through time. ❤ I love your poem.

Thank you so much for your kind words dear Martha 💗 There’s something special connecting us all through old trails, gates, woods and houses and it’s lovely to sit with these energies and meditate with them for a while. It might be something you can do in your home, lighting a candle for the previous guardians and send greetings and gratitude back in time 💜💫 xxx
