Haibun: Faery Spotting

The rains have stopped and the glen is full of bird song. It’s good to smell pine and freshly watered earth after the dry spell. A faint path is covered in paw prints from furry folk who walk here in the night. The more we journey here, the more we feel two worlds connecting.

  3. Two worlds connecting. I love the imagery of that, Xenia, whether it be this world and a faery world or simply enjoying beautiful nature outside of brick and mortar of a city. Enjoy your dry season and walking with the pups while I send hugs from across the ocean.

  17. I do love this – those ribbons of bells make me smile each time i read it. This piece really touches on that feeling of occupied-ness (for want of a better word) we feel sometimes when walking alone in loved places.
