Puente Poetry: Mother Earth

a smiling blue and white whippet on a boardwalk across the dunes
two whippets on a wide beach at low tide

ah how the sea air lifts
our spirits, the wide expanse of
tidal sand feels soft beneath our feet
while we glance towards the pine

~ where raven nest with eyes that see ~

the colours in each mountain
painted by a sacred hand that guides
our quest to honour and tread lightly on
this beloved mother earth

  7. I love how you’ve taken to the Puente, Xenia! Yours are wonderful, especially the bridge of ravens between beach and mountain. You have so much inspiration around you and you never waste a bit of it in your poetry and your ‘quest to honour and tread lightly on this beloved mother earth’. As ever, your photography is stunning.
