Tanka: The Day’s Palette

a black whippet sniffing the stones on the tidal sands
a lensball on a seaweed covered outcrop

the day’s palette
a hazy blue and green
at high tide
tomorrow’s footprints
wait for us in sand and sea

  1. Oh, to see such beautiful sky again, Xenia! Your lovely photos have refreshed my homebound view of the widespread smoke that has taken over our region from the relentless fires burning in California/Oregon and Washington, USA. We’ve woken to a red sun this week and this morning, our air quality was the worst in the world.
Your blues and greens are lovely…
