Looking at the photographs from a beach walk in early March brings a smile to our faces. A young Labrador was photo-bombing along and deaf to his owner’s whistle.
Eivor and Pearl squeal with delight every time we pull into this car park . They teach us how exciting it is to see a familiar place with fresh eyes. Treasuring these moments, I often wish they last a little longer.

Whilst we’re in lockdown I’ll be posting a few images from walks taken earlier in the year whenever they fit in with a prompt or photo challenge.
The images above were taken on 1st March 2020. Little did we know then how much our lives would change.
We wish you all a very happy Monday and hope you stay safe and well.
With love from Eivor, Pearl and Xenia xxx

Seeing a familiar place with fresh eyes – well said Xenia. I think we’ll all learn a bit of that when this is over. Lovely post as always

Wonderful description of the dogs squealing with delight when they arrive at a beloved walk they recognize. That’s one of the many things I love about dogs—they are never jaded or bored by everyday pleasures. True beginner’s mind. Hugs across the pond to you all.

I LOVE it when I get somewhere my dogs love and they get excited. Neither Bear nor Teddy has that attribute, but some of my dogs have been beside themselves with delight. Teddy IS pretty rapturous, though, when I pick up his leash and halter and he realizes it’s his turn. 🙂

Thank you dear Martha, it’s such fun when they get excited about a place and it makes my heart leap with joy too. Every dog we’ve adopted has shown us in their own way which places they loved to visit the most. Sometimes it would just be the way their eyes lit up, the smile on their face or their tail spinning round like a helicopter! Lovely to see Teddy gets excited when he knows it’s his turn. Take care and please give Bear and Teddy a big pat from us all 🤗💖🐕 xxx

They’ve been patted. I told them the pats came all the way from Scotland. Bear just asked if there was snow there. ❤

Thank you for patting them for us Martha. We have fresh snow on the higher ground and it looks as if it will stay a little longer 💙 xxx

Ha ha. They chase balls, too. Why am I not surprised. Love it.

I love the pink ball matches the coat! We had a Siberian Husky who got excited going to a nearby park, but the Boxer we have now is just a worrier. No matter how many times we have been to a place she is hesitant. Nice line…white tail waving at the sky.

Thank you so much for your kind words and it’s lovely to hear your Siberian Husky got excited about going to the park! It can be different for every dog and some dogs prefer their own spaces where they’re less likely to encounter anything that might startle them. Please give your sweet boxer a big pat from us all 💗
