Haibun: Mist Rising

We’ve had some heavy rain the last few days. The weather was wild in the North with gale force winds, flinging our last apples from the tree. We’ll leave these for the hedgehogs, the visiting birds.

  1. Beautiful photos and words. I like how you leave the apples for the hedgehog. A few months ago I was out in the garden watching the squirrel tear up my lawn. I love squirrels. But I was like my lawn! Then I said actually my so called garden is there for them to enjoy, they are in it more than I am. I just keep it semi pretty for them. They are no boundaries for wildlife, it is us human that Create boundaries.
