How lovely to find a new trail in the company of your doggy pals, Xenia! Most national parks in the US limit dogs on the trails, even on leash. But most state parks are OK with dogs on trails! Love that haibun!

Thank you so much for your kind words dear Terri 🙂💜 We’re very blessed that our National Parks welcome responsible dog walkers. It’s important to understand the seasons and areas. We avoid the areas with ground nesting birds from April-August (or keep the dogs on leash when we have to cross them) and during deer-stalking season (July-October) we don’t head onto the higher rims and remoter parts where stalking takes place 🙂🐾💖🐾 xxx
