Haibun: Raspberry Blues

It’s quiet in the car park and the temperature is perfect for climbing up the crag. Winding our way through the trees, we’re welcomed by subtle scents of Summer greens and flowering heather. Squirrels are feeding on pine, hawks are gliding overhead. Soon we’ll bring a basket, pick our fruit again.

  1. How lovely to be able to pick your own fruit from the forest🌲 Well done Pearl for just being curious, Finn would have been off like a shot! Not that he ever catches anything. Well done for getting your haiku featured! Have a lovely rest of the day and a peaceful weekend 🤗 Much love from our house to yours 💚🐕xxx

  2. Your lovely dogs look like they’re having a marvellous summer! Our salmonberry season was sparse this year, we’ve had a showery July so far but we’ll take it as it means there are no smoky skies for me to write about…

    1. Thank you dear Anne, it’s a good thing squirrels are so fast and agile as many dogs seem to want to run after them. We’re lucky that Pearl seems more intrigued than anything, as if she’s curious to know how they can run up a tree with so much ease 🙂🐾💖🐾 xxx
