Haibun: Forest Rain

The beech tree’s green canopy spreads across the grey and blue of morning sky, exchanging glances with the younger ones. The carpet is still red and gold with memories of autumn. So many smells of old and new. We breathe in the past and exhale the present, before inhaling the present and exhaling the past again.

  9. Beautiful photos. I can almost smell the earthiness of the forest and feel the damp in the air.
