Haibun: A View from Above

Glen Affric

a black whippet in a black jacket walking on a forest trail with spring grass and heather

The trail climbs between birch and Douglas fir. Protected from the breeze it carries us higher and higher. We hear water gushing below, the sound of insects humming.

We stop to sniff the grass. Our companion finds the courage to walk onto a wooden platform and gaze over the cascading falls of Abhainn Deabhag.

You can see images of the viewing platform in our post Plodda Falls on our sister blog Tranature. It is a real treat to walk here.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words dear Cathy 💜 Yes, I had to be brave and walk to the end of the platform, which overhangs from the cliff. I’ll post some more photographs on Tranature tomorrow. Hope you had a great day and much love to you and Finn from all of us here 🤗🐾💖🐾 xxx

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words dear Kate 💜 We are lucky to still have parts of this beautiful glen free from the hydro developments that have been wiping some of the most beautiful walks from the map. It now feels like a luxury to see fast flowing waters run free 🙂💖💦 xxx
