The weather changes daily. We celebrate the mild when it rains, the sun’s rays and clear blue skies on colder days. It’s the kindest Winter we’ve known since moving to the Highlands.

    That’s it. I have got to plan a trip to the Highlands. In the same couple of weeks, someone sent me a link to a video about the Shetland Islands and another someone – out of the blue – sent me a link to a woman speaking Shetland. A friend had mentioned they’d be going to Scotland this summer. A kid I work with noted they’d read about St. Kilda. Ya think the Universe is sending me a few hints to follow my soul’s calling? It’s been a dream for a long time. 2019 got itself jammed full of plans and commitments already, so it may not happen this year, but then 2020 is wide open. … I think it is time … Meanwhile, I breathe in some lovely through your posts … 🙂 Na’ama

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words dear Na’ama and it looks as if the Universe is trying to tell you something! Scotland is beautiful, there’s so much to see and both in Shetland and in the Highlands you’re never more than a few feet from nature 🙂💖 xxx

      1. No. I should get Dusty something, I think. Usually, with Dusty, we’re out only 30 minutes, but we kept running into talkative people who wanted to meet the dogs. Dusty had a ball, got lots of pats, but it was way too long for him. We were out more than an hour, poor guy. He wouldn’t have missed it, but… 😦 ❤

  4. We, too, were having a mild winter — until last weekend’s 7 inch snowfall and the prediction of more of the same to come followed by frigid temps. Stack the books!

  8. Our winter here on the West Coast is more spring-like again, there are already snowdrops, crocuses, and daffodils blooming…we’ve had some warm rains and most recently, fog…I’m not hibernating, either, only at night after the sun sets!
