We are deeply honoured, humbled and delighted to learn that the above photograph and haiku featured on NHK World Japan’s Haiku Masters in Tokyo Part 1, broadcast on 4th March 2019 from Tokyo. We are very grateful to presenters Kit Pancoast Nagamura , Kazuko Nishimura and Dan Mitsu for their thoughtful and entertaining interpretation of this photo haiku.

The entire episode, featuring a number of other photo haiku and haiku by international haiku poets, is available to view on the NHK World Japan website and lasts approximately 28 minutes.

The stories, poems and photographs on this blog are the original creative work of Xenia Tran. Inspired by life in the Scottish Highlands and in awe of nature she gives voice to the wisdom of her two adopted whippets Eivor and Pearl.
