Haibun: Feeling is Believing

When I fly across the lagoon my front paws curl towards my heart. My thoughts settle in a place deep inside. The only thing that exists, is this moment.

Time slows down, suspended in mid-air. It feels easy to adjust, find your balance. All you have to do, is believe.

When you reach the other side, stretch out and prepare for landing. The sand will be soft, time becomes real again.

  1. You put words to the way I felt running on trails. The dog exemplifies it perfectly. “…my front paws curl towards my heart. My thoughts settle in a place deep inside. The only thing that exists, is this moment.” That is freedom. ❤
