  1. What a gorgeous poem and that mysterious moon…your photos of your loved one frolicking upon the sand sculptures are lovely, too…I’ve been enjoying the beautiful moon on this side of the world and inhaling the most beautiful autumn!

    1. Thank you dear Martha, funny how we often gravitate to a particular kind of dog. We were used to living with sighthounds (we’ve adopted a lurcher, a saluki cross and a greyhound in the past) before we adopted Eivor and Pearl. They were all much bigger but had the same type of speed, sense of fun and soulfulness 🙂🐾💖🐾 xxx

      1. My Akbash — a Turkish livestock guardian dog — has in her ancestral breeding the Afghan. I can see it in the way she’s built and what she DOES. She uses her eyes like no other dog I’ve had. It’s very cool to watch. 🙂

  9. Love this, Xenia. I had never heard the term ‘hunter’s moon’ but that is just what we had here, too. The photos and poem are wonderful. Thank you for introducing me to this new term. I do love the moon and all her marvelous mystery.
