Climbing the trail we sense the presence of mountain hare, footprints from walkers who look for adventure. Away from houses and roads, autumn brings her own perfume. Visitors old and new gaze at the views. Higher up where clouds end, the light is shining through.

Poetic imagery of this location, Xenia. Love the photos, but I can see it’s getting colder.

Thank you so much for your kind words Draco. The temperature dips below freezing overnight in the mountains and it takes a while to warm up in the day – it is a lovely 7C once it does! 🌞🐾🐾

How interesting that you are able to take your dogs to a National Park, Xenia.

Thank you Tracy. Dogs are allowed in all the National Parks here. From mid-March to mid-August they have to stay on the lead in areas with ground-nesting birds so as not to disturb them. We tend to walk in different areas then, along the coast and the Northern trails 🙂🐾💖🐾 xxx

I would love to be able to take my dog into a National Park. Unfortunately so many people aren’t responsible so I guess it is not practical. Lucky you.

What a shame that so many aren’t responsible. We are lucky that the majority of people here are responsible dog walkers, especially in the National Parks and near wildlife in general 💜🐕 xxx

A gorgeous adventure, Xenia. I love the ‘presence of mountain hare’ and autumn’s perfume, and that stag’s roar in the haiku really brings the mountains alive. 🙂 xxx
