Haibun: Dragonfly Wood

Achany Forest

On this warm day we reach for cool among aspen, pine and beech – their new leaves unstitched in a season of moving. It is an easy switch from beach to forest, from play to sniffs.

  1. I love this haibun. Such a treat to wander among the artists’ wood and to discover that dragonfly treasure. I especially love: from beach to forest, from play to sniffs. You and Eivor and Pearl always have the bestest adventures.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words Toni, it was a lovely surprise to see the dragonfly. We have been enjoying our adventures in the forests during the heatwave, it was so much cooler there. Hope you are keeping well and much love from all of us here :o) xxx

  2. Had to hunt for the “itch”, but happily found it in 2 words. Hope the pooches enjoy forest
romps. That enchanting artifact creates a lot of mystery.

  3. We had a huge dragonfly somehow get into our office at work the other day. After much coaxing and window opening we managed to get it back outside but it was quite an experience. I’ve not seen one that close before.

  4. Beautiful haibun with that itch fulfilled in the switch! I imagine your wonderful dogs are smart enough to scratch where it itches and love romping in the glorious out-of-doors you image here!❤️
