Haibun: Hills of Gold

Cairngorms National Park

Deep in the day’s turnings the light changes to gold. A pair of wild-campers set up an indigo tent, gathering stones for a fire. When we return to the loch all the new seems familiar.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words Liesbet! We are changing the timings of our walks to avoid the big crowds and it is lovely to see the glen in a different light of the day and evening :o) xxx

  1. Xenia, the photographs are so beautiful! I love ‘Deep in the day’s turnings the light changes to gold’ – you’ve recreated the atmosphere you captured in the photos. And I still haven’t heard a cuckoo this year. 🙂

  2. Having just been in England I was reminded of how much longer the daylight lingers there and for you farther north even more so. Really such a magical time of day. Thanks for these photos!
