Thank you Petru! These pillboxes are remnants of the coastal defences from World War II and have been left to weather in the landscape along the Moray Coast xxx

Nice play on words (spills/swallowed). As a whole this reminds us not to bury the the reminders of past conflicts, but to see them as lessons of losses they inflict.

We have these along the North Norfolk coast too, Xenia, but I’m afraid that some people do not show them the respect they deserve. I love that your pillbox, rather than litter and graffiti, is graced with silent stones.

I feel that one of those remains of war eroding is something that is not just bad… after all it would be better if they would not be needed.
