seagulls rest
on sandbars
warming feathers
in Winter sun
while we fly
to catch each ball
and shimmy down
the shoreline
it is so peaceful
to play old games
with new eyes
with every leap
the mountains
speak of wonder
after the
wolf moon

Congratulations to you, Xenia. That is wonderful news! Stay warm–we are freezing here in sunny Florida. Temp was down to 22 last night. Way too cold for the Sunshine State.

Here they have stuffed toys and calendars for whatever is the Chinese Zodiac sign for the year. So people are taking down the rooster calendars and putting up new ones with dogs. Although the actual Chinese New Year won’t be here until February 16 this year.
