Haibun: North Wind In November

The North Wind is getting stronger and colder in the mountains and we want to make the most of every sniff and every memory we gather. We love every rock, every step we climb. We can feel the snows are coming and look forward to walking in the glens through Winter.

  1. At least Winter does not last several years like it does in GAME OF THRONES. The doggie-coats are precious; never met a whippet, but your poems make me want to.

    1. Haha, thankfully Winter does not last that long although in some parts of the Highlands the snows stayed on the higher ground all year. When you meet a whippet your life will never be the same!😉🐾🐾

  2. The landscape is absolutely beautiful! I love being able to let my dog run of leash. It looks like your dogs really enjoy exploring on their own as well 🙂

  3. You’ve written in the true spirit of the prompt, Xenia! I hope you are all making the most of every sniff and every memory you gather this weekend – it’s definitely getting colder! I love the fading heather of the haiku! xxx
