These images were taken while we spent a few days in the Nevis Range as the tail of Hurricane Irma blew past. Today Hurricane Ophelia has done a lot of damage in Ireland and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been affected.
We wish you a blessed week and may you all stay safe during the storms of life.
With love from Eivor, Pearl and Xenia xxx

Fantastic photos, Xenia. That’s a very angry but impressive sky in the first one. Lovely tanka too 🙂 Hope it’s not too wild where you are 💗 xxx

Ophelia blowing stuff around in our village in West Lancashire right now, your photographs and words are, as always, beautiful, Xenia. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks Xenia. A few dustbins and garden tubs rolling around. But nothing like they have in Ireland,

That’s good. It must have been wild in Ireland.

Ireland had it the worst with roofs blowing off, trees coming down and flooding. Schools, airports, stations, businesses and shops were all closed but the pubs were open 🍀

Yes, we are slowly getting news that all our Irish friends are safe. It must have been a very frightening experience.

What beautiful scenery Xenia and captured in stunning imagery and an amazing Tanka bringing it to life. It is strange to read of hurricanes pounding Ireland.

We thought the one good thing about this hurricane would be getting a chance to see some really big waves, but we couldn’t get near the beach because of the sand blowing in our eyes! Millie and Pearl xx

We need sand goggles for these occasions dear friends! We did not get to the beach either until this morning, when all was calm again! Much love from Eivor and Pearl xxx

Such an angry sky! So glad to hear you were not badly affected by Ophelia.I had been a bit worried when they kept showing the path going over the north of England and Scotland.

Thank you for your kind words and thoughts Anne, it was a very eerie experience. The sky went very dark in the afternoon, the birds disappeared from our garden, the crows were panicking around the church spire and cats were shooting down alleyways. It went still, there was a strange yellow glow and then the crows settled and the birds returned to our garden. We got heavy rains later yet never much wind 💖 xxx

Wonderful sky. Make me want to take a hike. But I’m home sick today. I think it might be influenza.
