the winds blow wild and
free around the forest
sheltered by the trees
a peaceful pulse
beats in the soil
fairies sweep the leaves
and wash the curtains
fearless of the wolves
who prowl and leap
into the joy of their
own autumn story

You pointed so nicely dear Xenia, I am so sad too for people who experienced with Irma hurricane. I have and also world have never seen something like that before. It has all records by itself…. But as I watched the tv and internet, people did a great job, with all animals… How changed our earth and seasons and climates… I hope and wish people could understand how important global climate change and try to do something for ours future.
Thank you dear, have a nice day and new week, Love, nia

I love it when the three of you go all faerie on us. such a glorious romp in the woods. I don’t think Pearl is chasing the faeiries, I think she is running behind them as they gaily run in front of her, showing her their wonders.

Fairies love mushroom umbrellas! 🙂 And I love these lines:
“fairies sweep the leaves
and wash the curtains”
Through my grandchildren, I learned how to make fairy houses in their back yards and in the woods — using only natural materials and those that are available without “picking” them from a tree/or soil. So flower petals that have already fallen to the ground make soft beds for fairies with acorn bedsteads! 🙂
I always smile when I see your whippets! 🙂

I love the gentle pulse of your quadrille, Xenia. I especially love the lines:
‘sheltered by the trees
a peaceful pulse
beats in the soil’
and the sweet image of the fairies who:
‘… sweep the leaves
and wash the curtains’.
Autumn cleaning instead of spring cleaning!
