Haibun: A Moment To Savour

two whippets walking along a grassy mound towards a loch

It feels good to leave the road and walk through Summer grass. The smells of green and youthful bounce in nature’s carpet lift every step in gratitude. As I look across the loch the trees sway softly in the breeze. I smile at the sun as she wraps her warmth around me. My heart can smell the sea.

  4. Thank you for joining in the challenge and creating this beautiful post Xenia. Your haibun gives me a feeling of deep calm. There’s a huge winter storm blowing around down here. It’s lovely to be transported to such an idyllic summer setting for a moment.
