We would like to dedicate this post to Kristjaan Panneman (Chevrefeuille) who creates many inspiring prompts for haiku and tanka poets with his in-depth knowledge of Japanese poetry forms at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. We truly appreciate all the hard work he puts in.

With love to you all and wishing you a very happy Wednesday,

Eivor, Pearl and Xenia xxx

  1. Amazing landscape photos! I love how you included rocks in the foreground. I think mountains generally inspire poets more than anything – they’re so mystical.

  2. Thank you Xenia, Eivor and Pearl for your kind words. I gives me new energy and the inspiration to go on with what I have started with Carpe Diem. It’s really my passion and my love for this wonderful poetry that I once started with CDHK and I hope that CDHK will become even more better. I really appreciate all of you who are participating in CDHK.
What a beautiful tanka you share here with us … I like that “pivotting” and it brings my attention from one scene to another scene. Well done …

    Namasté,
