Where does all that driftwood come from.
Always nice photos and words. Really your photos are calming

Thank you for your kind words Bella 💜 A lot of this wood came down the river when it was in spate from the heavy rains just over a week ago and now it has been washed ashore with the high tide. ☺💖 xxx

Their legs look so delicate. They are careful on the wood so as not to ‘twist an ankle’?

Thank you dear Lois, they are also careful not to step on anything sharp 😉🐾🐾

So sweet and interested! Do dogs open their mouths when smelling something as cats do?

Beautiful. I, too, love driftwood. It does look like it has been “shepherded” onto the shore.

The haiku creates the sense of this image and the lovely photos support it. That is a lot of driftwood and obviously many interesting smells.

Thank you for your kind words Denis. It is the first time I have seen this much driftwood in the Summer and there was a lot to smell for Eivor and Pearl! :o)

How you can include so much information in such a short poem!!! I love the idea of the sea shepherding, and you being able to smell the forest from the driftwood. Simple and beautiful 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend all of you 🙂 xx

This is great. I love the way the photo adds another layer of meaning. The black dog looks like he’s had a good sniff and got hold of a scent that will lead him (her?) to the forest.
