    1. Thank you for your kind words Herb, it is so tragic and could have been avoided if the council had listened to the many many warnings. My heart goes out to the people and the firemen who have worked around the clock to try and save as many lives as they could. Sending blessings and prayers too.

      1. Sometimes ya gotta wonder about people. We get similar official attitudes over here, and usually, they have some sort of “explanation” as to why…Just this week, an old fleabag of an old, old hotel got depopulated after years and years of neglect and pleas. Ya just gotta wonder.

  8. So very terrible! It was so hard to watch the footage and see the people trapped inside. My daughter lives in New York City. Fortunately, on the third floor with a solid fire escape. Lovely photos!

    1. Thank you Laurie, it is so very sad that health and safety concerns were being ignored by those in power. These people did not have a fire escape and only one stairwell where gaspipes were exploding. It is tragic beyond words. It sounds like your daughter lives in a much safer building.
