Great words, and photographs . Birds and dogs are friend, they don’t look like cats, 🙂 This is so nice. Why cats are being enemy for them! Thank you dear Xenia, Love, nia

That looks a lovely path to follow 🙂 The blackbirds that come to our garden prove too much of a temptation to Finn – thankfully he’s not quick enough to do any harm. Much love to you all xxx

Thank you Cathy, it is a lovely path at this time of year (it can get crowded with tourists and school trips in the Summer). Good to know that Finn is not quick enough anymore for the blackbirds! ;o) Much love to you both xxx

Beautiful! Birdsong always makes me think of blossom, too. Whenever I hear a blackbird singing I see apple blossom in my mind’s eye.
That’s a stunning picture of your Pearl – she looks like a faerie Greyhound!

Thank you for your kind words Annabelle ☺ It is so lovely to hear the blackbirds and Eivor and Pearl seem to enjoy their song too 🎶 This was Pearl’s first visit to these gardens and she loved it! Hope you are all keeping well and much love to you, Millie and Pearl 💖 xxx

Ah! the sound of the singing blackbird. Takes me back to my countryside childhood. My bird was the red winged black bird. Still an all-time fave.

Xenia i was revisiting your blog as you are in my mind the best photographer ..so i am trying to do more of my own pic for my blog but i am lazy to get the camera out..i have so way to go on the old photography front, but thats okay. Today i littered my quotes post with my garden photos from my mobile edited with paint. What do u use to edit your photos with meaning to put copyright on ..or even change the brightness etc.
Hope you are well enjoying the weather we are having. I do welcome the rain the garden needs it as long as it stays warm then all well. Tc bella

Hi Bella, with my old camera (blog posts until mid-November 2016) I either left the images unedited or did a slight edit in windows photo editor (usually to blur out other hikers or people on the beach to respect their privacy) and then added the copyright and web address in Paint after reducing the size of the image for easy loading. My new camera has its own edit functions and I sometimes edit images on the camera before downloading. I have started to use Adobe Lightroom to edit some other images and I continue to use Paint to reduce the image size and add the copyright. I hope this helps! ☺💜 xxx

Really helpful. What size do you resize to? Is adobe lightroom expensive?

You are very welcome Bella 💜 I normally reduce the image size to 40%. If I have already cropped the image (to edit out other hikers or people on the beach) I reduce it only to 50-60%. My Lightroom package is just over £8/month and when my first year is up it will increase to £10/month. Photoshop is included with the package but I never use it. You may want to see what editing your phone can do and if you are on Instagram there are free editing and filter options which may help as well ☺💜
