Quadrille: Interpretive Dance

cairns along the river

a familiar song
echoes between these stones,
these roots of trees

sounds of laughter
curl between these cairns,
the shoots of spring grass

this music of life
stretches with delight
across the muddy meadow

nature tunes
this grateful dance,
the joy in my heart
