sea air and silt stir the surge to lurch into the speed of bliss
your feet kiss the sand in circles where each grain tells a story –
all I can hear is the song in your eyes, the spark in your smile

Lovely alliteration and internal rhyme. I especially like the “song in your eyes”. Those eyes definitely have a song to sing. 🙂

That was elegant! A fine tribute to the obvious subject in the picture. I don’t know what a sijo is but I think I’ll take a look

Full of whippet energy, Xenia, and I can smell the sea air! I love the phrase ‘speed of bliss’ and the way it rhymes with ‘kiss’. The image illustrates it beautifully! Was that photo taken yesterday? It was sunny here too. This morning it’s pouring, the washing is dripping on the line and I have to go to the library for bounce and rhyme. Have a great middle of the week! xx
