Weekly Photo Challenge: Wish

Today, Jen at the Daily Post is inviting us to use our blog as an ’ema’ – a small wooden plaque used at Shinto shrines in Japan for people to write down their hopes and dreams in the hope that they will be granted by the spirits.

Our dream is that every sighthound is given the chance to only race for fun, for their hearts to bloom in special friendships and for them to lead a happy life in loving homes.

  1. I love the idea of an ema, Xenia…it seems that I like much about Japanese culture. Also, your haiku is so very touching, sentient beings do have many forms and they all should be respected. I get such a kick out of your photos of your dogs racing around and enjoying themselves…always with big dog smiles on their faces!
