sea air smiles (and breathes)
her secrets to the sun
we hear her giggle
while we jiggle
create our fun clouds
in the sand

we leap and chase –
sparkling rays of laughter
crest the waves
brighten the setting moon
prepare our hearts
for Spring

      1. Finbar runs for fun with very few ‘friends’, and none of them are sight hounds. If he meets a ‘cousin’ it’s a race, not fun and usually ends in acrimony. I think he was forced to race rather than hunt, in Spain, and it has marked him badly.

      2. It looks that way, as sighthounds who have not raced usually love to run with other sighthounds. So glad that Finbar has friends he feels happy to run with for fun – please give him a big pet from all of us here xxx

  25. Whippetwisdom I love your blog! it’s amazing! My mom says i know so much about dogs and I think it’s true. I love whippets. I have three dogs at home. A pit bull, a bulldog, and a poodle. Again I love your blog. Please write more.
