Haibun: The Circle Of Giving

This winter the snows melt within a few days of falling. The slopes remain closed and empty ski-lifts rock silently in the wind. We see a few long faces in the glen. They came here to snow-board and fly down the mountain. The glen’s heart pours with music from tumbling burns. The sun’s rays dance in the rhythm of the mountain’s beat. We raise our gaze in gratitude, spread our arms wide and bathe in the joy.

  1. How lovely. You have given us such a wonderful vision of your area – the tumbling burns – I so like that. And I love the picture as well. I can just see the pups playing and racing about – tumbling burns indeed.
