Quadrille: Bothy Tales

lr-1010220-ww

The snow is fresh underfoot,
the colours of loch and sky
so soothing on the eye when
we hear distant caperceille.

The bothy at Ryvoan Pass
offers shelter among mountains
for all who love those special
places where wanderer’s tales
curl around the fire.

    1. Thank you Lois, I had stopped to take a picture and when Pearl looked back to see why I had stopped it created an even nicer image :o) The bothies are wonderful places for hikers to rest and such a great way of using these buildings. Thank you for stopping by and a very happy New Year to you, Teemu and Parker xxx

  1. Oh this looks and sounds like such a beautiful place. There is just something about a cabin — a rural place — in the midst of the quiet snow-blanket….lovely. And I think now, I shall light some candles and have a cup of hot chocolate — you’ve put me in the mood 🙂

    1. Thank you Denis, great to hear you have similar huts on your hiking trails ☺ Eivor and Pearl love hiking in the snow as long as it is not too deep. The pads on their paws keep them insulated and they are very hardy 🐾🐾

  2. How gorgeous! I had to look up the two unfamiliar words – and I’m so glad to have learned what they represent. (Also they are lovely words.)
