Your b/w shots capture their love and intelligence even better than color!

I didn’t think you had ever posted B&W shots of Eivor and Pearl before. Xenia–these are beautiful. I am a fan of color, but black & white adds a whole ‘nother dimension to your photography. More, please! ❤

That last one of Pearl is so darn cute. And, I like how Eivor is blending in with the black couch. These B&W photos do exude a different feeling and vibe somehow. I can hardly believe how well the indoor ones came out, without editing! Keep on playing, Xenia! 🙂

Thank you so much for your kind words Liesbet!:o) The monochrome setting works really well when the whippets are relaxing and I did not want to change anything. Outside they are always moving and I have to adjust the shutter speeds in rhythm with their speed and then the exposures often need some adjusting. I need to play some more with the settings for different light conditions ;o) Thank you for stopping by Liesbet and we wish you all a wonderful festive season xxx

Interesting how B&W actually works with animals esp. pets. I love the second pic.

I’ve never been around whippet’s. They look adorable and strong. The two breeds I know the best are Newfondlands and pugs. 😀

Whippets are deceptively strong and very fast, sensitive and gentle all at once. They are not blessed with much fur and are sensitive to the cold and wind and our two have more coats than we have! One of our neighbours used to have a pug who was a real sweetie and she also had to wear coats in the colder seasons. Newfoundlanders are gorgeous, they have lots of natural insulation and a lovely temperament. Our first ever rescue dog was a sighthound (a whippet-lurcher cross) and from then on we have always had fast dogs. We love their energy and they need space to have a good run off-leash. They have a strong prey drive too and you have to be alert when hiking and train them for instant recall :o)

Thanks for the info on whippets. They are pretty much what I would picture with their looks. The pugs we have had over the years are strictly in door dogs. 😀
