The silver cloud
you step out of
so easily
sees you soon belong
among the pine’s
fine melodies.
The sea is your friend
and you honour the moon’s
moves with the tide
as you stride
wide and far along
the shoreline’s own
silver lining.

That’s such a beautiful verse, Xenia ❤ And I love the first photo, the sky, the light and the mystery/moodiness of it. Not forgetting the lovely Pearl as well ❤ Much love to you all xxx

Thank you for your kind words Cathy. I took the first photo against the light which gives it this monochrome effect and I kept it aside to write a quadrille. Thank you for stopping by and much love to you and Finn xxx

Those photos are wonderful, Xenia, and your quadrille does them justice. I like the way you’ve appealed to the senses in just 44 words: the ‘pine’s fine melodies’ hints at both sound and scent, while ‘the shoreline’s own silver lining’ is pure sight. You’ve captured such amazing colours in that first photograph – where is it?

Thank you for your kind words Kim :o) I was thinking of how easily Pearl stepped out of the shelter (the silver cloud) into our lives and thought the almost monochrome image against the light would fit. It was taken at Loch Laggan in the Cairngorms National Park. Thank you for visiting and for giving us such a wonderful prompt to work with xxx

Thank you Kim. The Cairngorms are beautiful and we love hiking there when we can. Well worth a visit if you are thinking of heading this far north :o)

This brings forth the silver lining without mentioning it. and the play with dogs on shore with sea and clouds really does justice to the photos.
