      1. Sometimes in life all we need to get going are just the right words and the right people. I have come to understand that Best friends are the people in your life that make you laugh louder, smile brighter and live better. If you found it in those dogs then hang on to it…What’s life without laughter and smiles?

      2. So very true Whitney, thank you for your kind thoughts. We always treasure the time we share with those who are special to us and who make us laugh. We are all here on a journey and I always trust that the right people come along at the right time. We meet so many people on our walks and when we take the time to listen we discover there is something very special about each and every one of them, just like there is something very special about you. Thank you again for visiting and much love to you xxx

    1. Thank you for your kind words Janice. The words fell that way as we lost our two older rescue dogs, who were also very close, within a year of one another. We treasure the time we have together and these two have together. Thank you for visiting and much love to you xxx

      1. That makes the meaning of your haiku even more poignant. It must have been a very difficult time for you losing your dogs…and making your time with your current ones even more precious (as if that’s possible to measure :))

      2. Thank you so much for your kindness and understanding Janice. It was difficult saying goodbye to Ruby and Seamus and yet we are so grateful for all the wonderful times we had together and the memories we created. We see so much of their legacy in Eivor and Pearl. Eivor was adopted when Seamus and Ruby were still with us and they played a big part in his rehabilitation. After Ruby passed away we adopted Pearl and Seamus was also a positive influence on her. After Seamus passed away, Eivor took on his mantel and now looks after Pearl. Our time with Eivor and Pearl is as precious now as our time with our other dogs (and cats) have been. They are all so special in their own way and we are so grateful to share our journey with them. Thank you again for visiting and much love to you xxx

      3. I look forward to more stories of your lives with Eivor and Pearl and perhaps also Ruby and Seamus. Your facilitating the interweaving of their lives and appreciation of their impact on each other is beautiful. Take care 🙂

    1. Thank you Freya, they both found their way to us via different shelters and they connected instantly, as if they knew they would share the rest of life’s journey together. It is very moving and humbling to witness this bond on a daily basis and we are very grateful for all the good times we are having and the memories we are creating. Thank you for visiting and much love to you xxx
