Spirit Companion

He knows that our love will live on forever and that we will all meet again one day, on the other side of the rainbow.

When we walk through the forest, Seamus follows us softly without leaving a paw print.

When we are on the beach he is there when we fetch our balls.

“I have had such a good life after I was adopted,” says Seamus. “I wanted to go on forever.”

He understands he is in another dimension now. He wants us to know he is doing fine.

Our companion is washing his old coats. His first coat, the brown one, from when he was first adopted as a pup. His red winter coat with the white fleece lining, from when his brown coat became too small.

His waxed green raincoat, from when he continued to grow. The green padded winter coat and his coat with the tummy wrapΒ in black watch tartan. Our companion washed them all and wrapped them up for a trip to the shelter.

“They always need coats at the shelter,” she says. “It will be cold again before you know.”

Seamus is watching over her too. He is happy that his coats will be worn by new rescue dogs at the shelter. He is happy that we are all moving on.

He knows that our love will live on forever and that we will all meet again one day, on the other side of the rainbow.

We send you all so much love,

Eivor and Pearl xx

  1. Aww, this is so beautiful I cried. All our animal companions live on in spirit and are with us. Seamus was/is a wonderful friend and it’s so wonderful you have such lovely words to share about him. Beautiful photos too, that water is so still, may I ask where that was taken, you always have such stunning locations for your walks and pictures. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you Denis, so very true. Seamus had been abandoned as a pup just after Christmas by the motorway. Luckily someone found him and took him to a shelter. Our lives have been so much richer for having him walk by our side and we are very grateful we had thirteen wonderful years together. Thank you again for your kind words and we wish you a wonderful day.
