Seamus made larger paw prints than I ever did. Now, when I look at our paw prints in the sand, mine are much bigger than the soft marks left by Pearl’s tiny paws.
It is my turn to lead the pack and I am ready. Pearl looks to me for guidance and I am here to show her the way.
Seamus was always the first to run towards the sea and now I am the first to run and catch a ball.
Pearl wants to follow me now and I want to look after her. I can reassure her, whenever she is not sure.
I am so grateful for all that I have learned. The wisdom and love handed down from Ruby and Seamus has become part of who I am today.
Ruby was like a mother to me. Her nurturing energy gently introduced me to the natural beauty around us.
Seamus was like everyone’s favourite uncle. A twinkle in his eye and a sense of fun is what he has given me too.
Then there is something much bigger than I will ever be. It is like the powerful light that always breaks through the clouds.
With all this support my transformation into leader of the pack feels completely natural.
I know that everything is going to be fine.
I am sending you all so much love,
Eivor

Thank you so much Cathy! The natural beauty here is so good for the soul. We met an 82-year old who was camping here and hiking in the mountains, such an inspiration to us all. He will be featuring in a blog post soon. Love and wags to you and your beautiful hound :o)

The sand is perfect for running hounds and is only there in the drier months. When the rains come and when the snows melt the loch fills up and the beach disappears. The post will hopefully go out next week when I have more writing time again. Thank you again for stopping by and we wish you and Finn a wonderful evening :o)

It’s so heart-warming (all your posts are), it shows the world I like, I want to live in. The photos reflect the atmosphere of the post perfectly, too ( I should learn from you) . Almost like the escapism I find in books I read when I need to clear my head! Thank you for all your posts, they are important 🙂

Thank you so much for your kind words. The dogs, the people we meet and the beautiful Highland walks create the posts through me. We are in awe all the time and love to share our stories to help others. It feels like a pilgrimage at times, as if we are walking on holy ground. That’s what being in nature means to us. You have your own style and give such important messages about dog care and rehabilitation. Your voice is unique and will reach and help people in a way I may not be able to do with my style of writing. Always be you! ☺ Love and wags to you and Lily 💜🐾🐾

Being me is overthinking and over-explaining…maybe that’s the reason I enjoy your blog so much!

I enjoy reading your explanations about the theories behind doggie behaviour because I don’t think much! ☺

If you follow your feelings you do it right 😉 Whatever it is that you do, it seems to work very well 🙂

Thank you!☺ Our dogs and cats have taught me to always trust my instincts and that has become my guiding light. When you step into that flow it feels very natural. Thank you again for stopping by and we wish you and Lily a magical weekend ☺🐾🐾
