That’s such an unusual shot that I’m just shaking my head in amazement. Did your dog simply run passed the seals? Did the seals get alarmed? Tell more!

Thank you Janet for asking! Eivor is showing them he is no threat by avoiding direct eye contact and walking past them rather than towards them. The seals are not alarmed by him. It was one of those wonderful moments of communication and understanding between two species. Pearl and Seamus stay much further away from the seals. I was later told that Eivor’s relaxed behaviour around the seals is unusual. Many other walkers need to restrain their dogs from running over to them.
