I knew you were coming and I knew where I was going.
When our companion saw my picture on the shelter website she connected with me. I saw her make pictures of me living in our pack and in our home.
She made pictures of us running on the beach together and I smiled back at her. She visualised us walking through the glens, climbing the crags and drinking from the lochs. I jumped into her visualisations and touched her hand, to tell her how happy I was.
From that moment I stopped chasing my tail in the kennel. I stopped fretting and crying. I knew you were coming and I went quiet and waited for you.
The love our companion had been sending me protected me in a warm bubble where the barking and the screaming around me no longer existed.
When I finally saw you I was so happy. You were shaking, as if coming to the shelter brought back a lot of unwanted memories.
It feels as if I have known you all my life. I will look after you Eivor, and keep you safe.
I hope all animals in shelters will be able to experience what I have just experienced. Coming home is the best feeling ever.
I am sending you all so much love,
Pearl
